A Continental silver triptych font or bénitier, probably German, marked 930, Chester import 1907, the Gothic doors opening to reveal a triptych depicting Jesus's crucifixion at Calvary, above the Madonna and Child attended by Stains, inset with red and blue paste cabochons, leading to a holy water font inset with a clear cut paste stone Dimensions: width closed 5.5cm, width open 10cm, height 16cm, weight 3.72ozt Condition: Tarnishing and residue polish marks.
